Coming Up – Disney, Activision Blizzard, UBER, RBA and RBI

Stockholm (Ekomamik) – Following last week’s avalanche of central bank meetings, the 32nd week of 2019 will prove much calmer, with only the RBA and Banxico meeting on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

The RBA has been aggressively cutting rates, going from a 1.5% cash rate in April to 1% after cuts in June and July. “Markets will be flabbergasted if the RBA cuts rates” again, commented to Ray Attrill, Head of FX Strategy for Fixed income, Currencies and Commodities at National Australia Bank (NAB). Central banks in India, Thailand and the Philippines will also meet this week to decide their interest rate policy.

Datawise, the main news will come from Eurozone Q2 GDP on Tuesday, inflation from France, Germany, India, Spain and the USA and unemployment in Australia, France, Turkey and the UK. At the margins, the OPEC will also publish its monthly report and a range of manufacturing indices will be published for the USA.
